About UsNelson Stone Centre is one of Canada's largest and oldest manufacturers of monuments, markers and other granite products for the cemetery. In 1909, George & Percy Nelson, started their fledgling company, & many of their descendants have continued in various stone working and related professions. George W. Nelson & Sons, later evolved into Nelson Monuments Ltd. which had several subsidiary companies. The Stone Centre Inc, was set up to service the Ontario market and is owned and operated by George's grandson, Garth Nelson.
